The Portuguese Philatelic Society (PPS) was founded in the United Kingdom in 1962. Our current membership is scattered throughout the world and embraces all walks of life. The PPS is dedicated to understanding and promoting the philately of Portugal and its former colonies.
With over a hundred members, every facet of the many diverse areas and themes of Portugal and colonies are actively collected.
One of the benefits of membership in the PPS is the publication "The Bulletin" published quarterly. As a forum for the membership as a whole, the Bulletin is filled with specialised articles that clearly demonstrate the level of interest and committment to Portugal and colonies philately.
The PPS holds an annual general meeting (AGM) in the UK in a location advantageous to as many members as possible. These popular events include an auction and a member's exhibition. Our membership regularly participate in shows and exhibitions at the national and international level.
The PPS always welcomes new members who are actively involved in their fields of philately. If you are interested in joining or know somebody who might be, please fill up our Membership form or else, you can email the Secretary for more details.
